In the winter when I get home from work, one of the first things I do is light a candle. (Yes, we go through a lot of candles - but I'm a teacher, so my candle supply is usually replenished at Christmas time. Apparently when people think "teacher gift," they think of candles - which is a-ok with me.)
There's just something soothing about the flickering, bright flame of a candle on a cold winter night. One little candle makes the whole house feel warmer and cozier. I love the "kitchen" scents . . . buttercream, hazelnut coffee, snickerdoodle - mmmmm.

And now it's time to join my favorite two year old in a little pre-bedtime tractor driving. It's very serious business. ;)
