Lately we've been dealing with an influx of "terrible two" behavior, thus we've also had to deal out quite a few "time outs." It's sort of interesting (and at times frustrating) to observe a two-year-old's behavior as B learns to follow directions and test boundaries.
It's becoming pretty evident that while B (for the most part) understands the rules and expectations, he's not always going to choose to follow them. Enter parenting. We're finding that being consistent and intentional with affirmations and consequences is a big job. And sometimes an exhausting one.
One of our current "issues" involves cleaning/picking up toys. Sometimes B is great at this, and sometimes not so much.
Lucky for him (and me!), he has a daddy who is willing to patiently help him put away toys (Billy even sorts all the little pieces - we don't expect Braden to do that on his own, but he is figuring out our bin system). . .
. . . and when the "work" of putting toys away, it's time for tickles!
