splish splash!

On Thursday Braden took his inaugural dip in a swimming pool!  It was a warm, sunny day, and Daddy didn't have to work, so we hit the pool as a family.

At first B wasn't too sure about his new surroundings - lots of people, noise and new sights and smells.

Since he loves splashing in his bath, we tried sitting in the shallow end first . . . Braden did ok, but wasn't terribly impressed.

Then we broke out the swim ring - that was a hit! (And was more fun for us too, because we could actually be in deeper water.)

Braden loved his shades . . . the sun was not so bright, and they provided splash protection for the eyes.

After "warming up" to the pool/water, Braden had a blast kicking his feet underwater, and was lounging back in his ring like an old pro.  Of course I didn't get any pictures of that . . . .

Time to head home - B crashed as soon as he was buckled into his seat and took a nice loonnng nap. :)

I have a feeling there will be many trips to the pool this summer!
