more summer fun

Ahh, we just can't get enough of these lazy summer days!  It is going to be VERY hard to go back to work in August.

Today Braden and I headed to the pool again . . .
met up with cousins Alex, Aidan, and Addie.

After playing hard in the pool, B got tired and took a little nap.
And Addie fell asleep too!
(Not really!) . . . but B actually did nap for about 30 minutes in on their laps.

What else have we been up to?

Reading with buddy Alison

Learning to drink from a sippy cup (doing better, but he still prefers a bottle)

Playing

Pulling up on EVERYTHING (usually with this look of concentration) . . .

. . . and trying (without much success!) to stay out of trouble

Unfortunately it seems like Braden spends much of his time trying to get into things/places he shouldn't! (Here he is looking longingly up the steps - he loves to climb the stairs, and when he gets to the top he laughs and they would head back down (head first) if we allowed him the opportunity.)

He has pulled the baby gate, a dining room chair, and his toy basket over recently.  Ouch!

We finally filled the little pool in our backyard, and Braden took his first dip.  Initially, all he wanted to do was this:

But eventually he settled down and had a blast splashing . . .

Our little man has also taken an interest in "helping"mommy unload the dishwasher . . . he loves to be right where we are and in on the action.

Whew!  Guess there were a lot of pics on my camera this round. . .  now we're off to enjoy the beautiful evening at a softball game.  I. LOVE. SUMMER.

Love the little video! The photos of Braden "helping" you clean out the dishwasher remind me of Payton at that age. It was one of his favorite things to do! He is so precious!
