Good morning sunshine, and the stairs

Most mornings (when we don't have anywhere we have to be and we can let Braden sleep until he wakes), Braden wakes up and plays in his crib for awhile and we hear happy babbling . . . and then at some point if we haven't "rescued" him from the crib, we'll begin to hear cries of distress.

This morning when I went in to "release" him from captivity (and get that morning bottle asap!), here's how I found him:

It's sort of hard to tell from the picture (that of course I took before rescuing my baby from his predicament), but his legs were hanging out through the crib bars (I think he started kicking so it doesn't look so funny in the picture) and he'd gotten himself stuck - he wasn't able to gain any leverage with his feet to push himself backwards, and couldn't use just his arms to pull himself out.   Silly boy!  This makes me lean toward putting those bumpers back on . . .

And, we knew it was coming, but didn't expect it so soon.  Yes, B is climbing the stairs!

Last night we were all hanging out in the living room/kitchen area, and all at once Billy says - hey look!  Braden was just ready to crawl up to the 2nd step! I grabbed the camera and went to the top of the steps to document Braden's new talent, and Billy assumed the role of "spotter."

Lest you think we are not responsible parents, notice there is a baby gate blocking the staircase going down to the family room (we figured there was a better chance of Braden tumbling down at a moment that we weren't looking than going up, and those gates are quite a pain for short legged people like myself when placed on steps - Billy can hurdle them, but I have to move them . . . and prior to last night, B had shown no interest in the steps - just crawled right by them!) - but now, never fear, both the up and down steps are gated.

Yay! (??) Braden made it all the way up without tumbling or any help from Daddy!

When he reached the top, he just sat down on his bottom and rested.  Not sure if he would have tried to go back down, or if he would have headed for one of the bedrooms.  We scooped him up and promptly put up the gates!

Finally . . . .

1,2, and 3!

Yep, that's right - our little fella now has 3 teeth!  The top middle right tooth poked through last night (it was a big night!), and we can see the top middle left tooth ready to make an appearance - it is just barely visible.  Luckily B wasn't nearly as fussy this time around, but did need some oragel to sooth his gums at bedtime.

I tried to take a picture of the new tooth after supper last night (excuse the sweet potatoes in his nose if you're looking closely) - but it is still hard to see and B doesn't like to cooperate for pics of his teeth.

And one more that was on the camera when I uploaded this batch of pics; our busy little boy!
