sneak peek

How has another week flown by already?  Miss Elise is now 2 weeks old (slow down, time!), and today is Billy's last day home with us. :(   It has been so wonderful having our whole family together as we have adjusted to life as a foursome.

I haven't posted this week, but wanted to jot down a few things:

• Elise continues to be a laid back, easy going baby.  We've gone out and about a few times, and she just rolls with it.

• She generally likes to eat every 3 hours, and is eating about 3 oz.  Usually after eating, she likes to nap . . . except for at her 11:00ish pm feeding - that's when she has her one fussy time of the day.  No matter when she has eaten (whether it be 10:30 or 11:15), she always seems to want to eat a little bit more around 11:45, then settles in for the night.  For most of this week, she's been sleeping from 12 - 5 or 5:30!  After eating, she'll then sleep again till around 8:30.  We aren't complaining a bit! :)

• Elise is most awake just after lunch time, and in the early evening.  She loves to sit in her bouncy seat to see what is happening.

• Braden continues to LOVE his sister.  When he wakes up in the morning the first thing he does is ask, Where IS she?" and is off to give her kisses.

On Tuesday Elise had a weight check at the doctor; she weighed in at 7 lbs 12 oz (so up 5 oz from last week), and is doing well!  We also took her newborn pictures that morning (and snuck in a few family and sibling shots too!) - she did a great job (big bro on the other hand was a little less cooperative - but we got some good pictures).  Here's a little sneak peek from her newborn session (I will post more after I send out birth announcements):
