is it springtime yet?

Project 365: 35

I keep seeing Facebook statuses (stati? . . . how does one make the word status plural?) about trips that friends are taking to warm destinations.

So jealous.  The only warm destination in my future is my cozy warm bed.

Speaking of bed, we spent a lot of time cozy-ing up in ours this weekend.

On Friday night B woke up with a burning fever.  We stripped him down and dosed him up with grape Tylenol and let him sleep with us so that we could monitor his temp.  Saturday morning he was listless and still feverish.  After a call to the pedi, we decided to just keep him on Tylenol, push fluids, and let him rest.  And rest he did - almost all day long. (In the spirit of full disclosure, so did mommy. Someone had to stay with him to keep an eye on him, right? And like I said, the bed is the only really warm place around these days.)  Saturday evening I finally got him to wake up enough to take a bath, change into clean jammies, and move to the couch for a change of scenery.

Poor little guy was not interested in food all day, so when he requested "cheese," (it is hard to type it how he says it - he's got kind of a funny way of emphasizing the "ee" and pronouncing the ending with an "s" sound rather than "z" sound) he got it.  Unfortunately, he didn't ever actually eat it . . .

. . . just licked it (ew?!) and "drove" it (can't you just hear the brrrrrrmmmm?)
While eating licking/driving his cheese, B was watching the Toy Story marathon on TV.  He loved it. And although he stayed up later than usual to watch the Buzz and Woody save the day, little man did not sleep well Saturday night.  As in, he did not really sleep at all.  Ug.  Guess he slept too much during the day!

Sunday morning B woke up was already up and was fever free - whew! It was so nice to have our energetic little guy back.  He was even peppy enough to help me make rice crispie treats for the Superbowl party. (Since he wasn't yet 24 hours fever free, Braden got to hang with G&G while Billy and I went to watch the game the commercials with friends.)

And to catch up - some post tubby time pics from tonight. These make me smile.  Love my boys!
