My "baby" is 3!

Three years ago this evening, we were anxiously awaiting our baby boy's arrival.  I'd been in labor since around noon, and had been told multiple times that it would be "just a couple more hours."  Of course, B had his own plans (stubborn from day 1!) - and he wasn't born until 2:30 am (when he was given his eviction notice via c-section).

In some ways, I can't believe it's been 3 years, and in other ways, I can't really remember life without our Braden.  At any rate, tomorrow we'll have THREE year old!

I modified last year's list to reflect B at age 3.  It was fun to see what things are very much the same, and what has changed!

At age threeBraden . . .
• STILL loves tractors, trains, trucks, and any other vehicle
• is speaking more - and is "catching up" in the speech department.  We love hearing longer sentences, and you never know what he might say!
• loves yogurt and bananas as well as apples, apple sauce ("sauce") and apple juice
• enjoys reading books, especially at bedtime
• sleeps in his big boy bed!
• full version of bedtime routine includes bath, brushing teeth, books, singing, and prayers (it is often abbreviated though)
• plays well independently, especially with cars/vehicles
• loves to ride his trike, and asks to do so all of the time . . . loves to ride down hills, and can ride all the way to the elementary school (about a 1/2 mile) to play on the playground
• is still working (sort of) on potty training - not much interest, other than in the m&m's!
• wears size 3T clothes (although I am guessing he will need 4T for length by spring), size 4 diapers, and size 8 shoes (still has the best/cutest/trendiest wardrobe in our family)
• asks, "What's that, Mommy/Daddy?" 400 times a day
• loves the water - and still has no fear; went off diving board this summer, and continues to ask to go to the pool weeks after it has been closed
• asks to snuggle in "Mommy's bed"
• has finally ditched the binky (this summer!)
• when asked if he wants a little brother or sister, almost always answers "sister"
