boom booms

We celebrated Independence Day with lots of fun activities!

On Sunday night we took in the spectacular Shiloh fireworks (aka boom booms - in B speak!)  While we were waiting for the show to begin, there was a cool double rainbow (you can sort of see it in the first picture below), and B enjoyed some popcorn.

Monday we headed to Wellman for the annual 4th of July parade . . .

B definitely remembered the lesson on picking up candy (that daddy gave him at the Kalona Days parade a few weeks ago).

We even spotted cousin Alex in this parade:

That evening we returned to Wellman to watch the boom booms again!  B loved the sparklers . . .

  . . . but his favorite part was watching the boom booms with Addie :)
