Over Labor Day weekend we decided to try for one last little getaway before baby arrives . . . we didn't get to go anywhere for our first anniversary at the end of June (how did summer just fly by?!), so on a whim booked a night at a B & B in Galena, IL for our "babymoon."
Babymoon, you ask? We hadn't heard that term either, until we had friends ask if we were going on one. It's just a fun term for a little honeymoon before the baby arrives. Sounded good to us! Neither of us had ever actually gone to a bed and breakfast before, but we loved it and can't wait for our next little "get away" . . . . which will probably be a while! :)
We stayed in a great Victorian house, ate yummy food, and shopped cute downtown Galena until my feet got too swollen to handle much more (it was hot!) . . . but a perfect little weekend for us. Billy bought a present for the baby (not the onesie in the picture - we just thought that it reminded us of my dad - the golfer and beagle) that I will have to post a picture of later.
