Our summer days are winding down, and we still have a few things left on our summer to do list. We crossed one item off the list last weekend - the zoo! It was a perfect day to enjoy the outdoors - mid 70s and sunny.
We've taken Braden to the zoo several times, but this was Elise's first time - she seemed to enjoy looking at the animals, but had the most fun when we let her out of the stroller to run around. :)
Upon arrival, we had to do B's favorite thing - ride the train!
The zoo has animal sculptures all around, and B loved posing on them
The monkeys (the real ones!) were B's favorite animal this year, and he said he also liked seeing the snakes and tigers.
This series of pictures cracks me up . . . how hard can it be to get a nice photo with both kids looking at the camera? Very hard, apparently . . .
And finally, little Miss E. She has recently perfected this "look." When she is concerned/reprimanded/wronged/etc, she has started giving us this funny expression, complete with furrowed brows. It's hard not to laugh at her sometimes. :)
We wrapped up our visit with some time on the zoo playground, which helped get all the wiggles out and also helped wear our the kiddos - for a nice, quiet trip home.
