Happy Easter, 2013

Braden was pumped to dye eggs this year - it was really kind of funny.  The little kit we bought included a white crayon for adding designs to the eggs, and he thought it was the BEST that we could write everyone's name on an egg and that it would "magically" appear once it was dyed.

When we got home from church on Easter Sunday, we found that the Easter bunny had dropped off baskets while we were gone!  (I got smart this year and we did baskets after church so that we wouldn't have to pull the kids away from their loot to get out the door to church on time.)

Braden immediately pulled out the package of race cars, but then apparently was impressed by the other contents too!  Elise was just enamored with the pink egg . . .

I found these "sticky" race cars that "drive" down a smooth wall/glass surface.  They were a hit!

We tried to get a photo of both kiddos on the couch in their Easter duds, but it didn't go so well . .

We then enjoyed a yummy Easter dinner with the extended Miller family at my parents' house.  After eating, the kiddos were eager to have the annual egg hunt.  We thought it would be fun to go to the playground to hide the eggs, since the grass was a little muddy from the recent snow/rain.  Unfortunately, though the sun was out and shining brightly, the wind was very strong and made it a little chilly (and kept blowing the plastic eggs away!).

The "hunters" (minus Braden - we were also missing Ethan, Ben, and Ellie this year)

Elise loved running around with her blue egg

Billy checking out the kids' loot!

Despite the wind, the kids had a blast playing - E and B were in heaven with 2 cousins willing to push them endlessly on the swing . . .

. . . and E loved the see saw with Grandma!

Our little Easter bunny! ;)
