Ahh - spring is in the air (at least for today) . . . I called time and temp after school and it was 73 degrees! I'm sure this weather is just a teaser, but it was a wonderful sunny day! When I (finally!) got home from work today (had a meeting after school - which always seems to happen when I really want to get home and get outside), Billy, Braden and I went for a walk. Here was my sweet view:
When we got home, it was dinnertime! Tonight we added squash to Braden's menu (mixed with rice cereal). I'd say he enjoyed it!
We skipped the bib tonight because it distracts him - he likes to play with/chew on his new plastic bibs, and he'd already spit up all over his outfit anyway.

He is still loving his new tongue trick . . .
. . . but eating with your tongue sticking out is a little tricky!
Still loving his exersaucer
These pics are from Tuesday - our 5 month old! (I know - LOVE the blue socks - they matched the first outfit he had on)

Now that Braden is using his tub without the "sling" thing for newborns, he has discovered the fun of splashing. So we've moved bathtime from the kitchen sink to the big bathtub. Now he can splash away and not drench the kitchen cupboards, counter, floor . . .

And here are the shots in the 12 month size outfit . . . I added just a couple from past months for comparison:
and our big boy - 5 months old
This one is also 5 months . . . check out how he makes his legs stiff by locking his knees - so funny, but hard to see in a picture.
And, simply because these pictures were in the group I just uploaded from my camera, more eating pics . . .
I love to make a mess with rice cereal
More, please! (He is definitely liking his "solids" more - and I think now that we're adding actual food with flavor, he'll like it more - the squash went over very well - although from the pictures I am sure it appears that most of it ended up on him instead of in him)

Yum yum
Well, time for bed . . . almost . . . gotta fold laundry and try to read more than 2 pages of the book I am reading before falling asleep.
I smiled to myself this evening, when my first thoughts were: hmm, we're home tonight! I can read my book, work on the photobook I am making on Shutterfly that has to be done by the 10th to redeem my free book coupon, and throw in a couple loads of laundry.
What REALLY happened tonight was: make supper, start laundry, feed Braden, continue with laundry, clean up the kitchen, bathe Braden, more laundry, pay bills, even more laundry, pack diaper bags for Billy & Braden's boy trip to Pella tomorrow, sneak in some photo uploads/blog, and finally - fold all that laundry. Fun fun! But really, I wouldn't trade it for the world! I just hope that I can finish the photobook - I have a feeling I'll be up late a few nights working on it.
