summer fun

I finally uploaded our photos from the past

couple of weeks . . . so here's sort of a random mix of fun stuff!

We've been keeping cool . . .

at home - Daddy and Braden in the "igloo" from ikea. B likes it, but only if someone else sits inside with him. ;) Notice the firetruck, cars, and lion - B is SO into anything with wheels these days. We play with cars a lot at our house!

. . . and at the pool! B and I go swimming several times each week. He's now such a big boy that he uses a "regular" tube (vs. the infant tube with a "seat" in it). He thinks he's big stuff!

Learning to kick his feet to paddle around - I definitely think we'll sign up for swimming lessons this winter at the Y.

Fourth of July -

these pics are actually from Shiloh's celebration on the 3rd. Here's our crew staking out a spot, and waiting for the sun to set so the show can begin . . .

A day at the lake -

to celebrate Aunt Amy's b-day, the Hartsocks spent a day boating at the lake. Our little water baby loved it!

The water is getting pretty high again this year - the beach is underwater and in the pic below you can see only the rooftops of the picnic areas.

It's within a couple of feet of going over the spillway!

Braden was anxious to join the fun floating in the water in a cove . . .

. . . floating on a tube wasn't good enough - he had to get IN the water.
