Monday, December 16 was a big day - Off Day for B and his cast! He was VERY excited about it, and also a bit nervous.
Of course we had to document the big event with some photos:

Let the cutting begin! B did great, but just didn't like the loud noise (so Daddy covered his ears).
And . . . it's off!
Surprisingly, his leg/trunk didn't look any different -- I think he was active enough that there was no muscle atrophy. The incision healed great - there was just a little red/irritation where a bandage was over the incision.
Ready to head home - the cast is in the bag!
Braden didn't stay in the wheelchair for long - he was anxious to walk around. He kept trying different things that he couldn't do in the cast (like squatting) and saying - Look! I can do this! :)
It was hard to get a good photo of him without the cast - he was on the MOVE.
